College Hill Water Association, established in 1964, is a non-profit, community owned, and operated, waterworks utility company serving a portion of Lafayette County, Mississippi. We are committed to providing high quality water services to our community while maintaining a standard of excellence in customer service and environmental conservation.
Rates:
Residential
$20 for first 2000 gallons
$6 per 1000 gallons or any part thereafter
Commercial
$40 for first 2000 gallons
$6 per 1000 gallons or any part thereafter
Water meters are read monthly. Bills are calculated from these meter readings and will be provided to customers by the first day of the following month and shall be payable by the 15th of that month. After the 15th of each month, a 10% late fee is added. If payment is two months past due and not paid by the 10th, service will be disconnected. A reconnect fee of $100 will be added. In order for water to be reconnected, all past due amount, including reconnect fee of $100 must be paid in full. YOUR BILL IS DUE UPON RECEIPT.
Fees:
New meter installed $900.00 (and any additional cost if we have to bore under the road)
New construction Impact Fee $2000.00
Deposit $200.00 (refundable minus any outstanding bill owed to CHWA)
Return check charge $40.00
Membership Fee $10.00 (non-refundable)
Connection Fee $125.00 (non-refundable)
Service Fee $25.00 (non-refundable)
Builder’s Transfer Fee $100.00
Meter Test Fee $125.00
Reconnect Fee $100.00
Replacement meter requested $175.00
Tampering Fee $200.00 plus any and all damages to infrastructure
Document Handling/Print Fee $2.00/per page (minimum fee $10.00)
If after three (3) consecutive months of not paying your bill, the meter will be removed from the property. In order for the meter to be reinstalled you must pay past due balance, reconnect fee, and a connection fee.
